General Duty Assignment (GDA) Plumber

Job Summary:

The Plumber will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in a high-rise residential building. The role includes ensuring water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems are in optimal working condition while addressing plumbing emergencies and routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Plumbing Installation & Maintenance:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures.
• Ensure proper functioning of water supply and sanitation systems.
• Repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing issues promptly.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of water tanks, pumps, and sewage treatment plants.

Emergency Repairs & Response:

• Respond quickly to plumbing emergencies and provide effective solutions.
• Perform necessary repairs to minimize inconvenience to residents.
• Coordinate with external service providers for major repairs when required.

Routine Inspections & Preventive Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to detect leaks or potential issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to avoid major breakdowns.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and drainage system functionality.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Adhere to building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Provide input for improvement and upgrade of plumbing systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Certified Plumber with relevant plumbing trade certification.
• Minimum of 03 years of experience in plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment efficiently.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
• Basic understanding of building safety codes and regulations.

Work Conditions:

• Shift-based duty, including weekends and holidays if required.
