Climate Modeler and ESG - Leadership hiring (Mumbai | Bangalore | Gurugram)

- A Climate Modeler is responsible for developing, testing, and applying numerical models to simulate the Earth's climate systems.

- This role involves analyzing complex climate data, projecting future climate scenarios, and contributing to research on climate change and its impacts.

Key Responsibilities:

Model Development and Testing:

- Develop and refine climate models to simulate atmospheric, oceanic, and terrestrial processes.

- Test and validate models using historical data and experimental observations .

Data Analysis:

- Collect and preprocess climate data from various sources, including satellites, weather stations, and ocean buoys.

- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in climate variables.

Scenario Projections:

- Run simulations to project future climate conditions based on different greenhouse gas emission scenarios.

- Interpret model outputs to assess potential impacts on weather patterns, sea levels, ecosystems, and human activities. Conduct research to improve the accuracy and reliability of climate models.

Communication and Reporting:

- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector clients, and the public.

- Communicate complex scientific concepts in an accessible manner to non-specialist audiences.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including meteorologists, oceanographers, ecologists, and data scientists.

- Participate in workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest advancements in climate science

Skills:

- Prior experience of using technology in design and delivery of services

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.

- Strong internal personnel, analytical skills, and management skills.

- Good oral and written communication skills including documentation of findings and recommendations.

- Able to handle highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner.

- Able to maintain a professional demeanor in times of high stress.

- Open to travel as per client requirements
