Role & responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant with over 7 years of experience in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong background in the respective business domain and be able to leverage this domain knowledge to optimize SAP solutions for our clients. This role requires in-depth expertise in both functional and technical aspects of SAP FI/CO modules, along with a proven ability to design, configure, and implement solutions to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP FI/CO Module Implementation:
   
• Lead the implementation and configuration of the SAP FI and CO modules, ensuring solutions are designed to meet business requirements.
• Engage in requirement gathering sessions, design functional specifications, and configure the SAP FI/CO system.
• Implement Financial Accounting (FI) submodules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, etc.
• Implement Controlling (CO) submodules such as Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis.
2. Project Leadership & Coordination:
   
• Lead and manage SAP FI/CO projects from inception to completion, including timelines, deliverables, and resource coordination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical consultants, developers, business analysts, and end-users.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants, ensuring the team adheres to best practices.
3. Business Process Optimization:
   
• Analyze and map business processes to SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure optimal functionality and performance of the SAP FI/CO modules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions using SAP tools and technology.
4. Domain Expertise Integration:
   
• Utilize domain expertise to enhance SAP functionality in the financial and controlling areas, ensuring that business needs are met efficiently.
• Work closely with stakeholders to address specific domain challenges and requirements, tailoring SAP configurations accordingly.
• Advise clients on best practices for financial and controlling processes within SAP.
5. Support & Troubleshooting:
   
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for SAP FI/CO issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Ensure system issues are identified, analyzed, and resolved in a timely manner, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
6. Documentation & Reporting:
   
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and user training.
• Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders, including project status and issues.
7. Training & Knowledge Transfer:
   
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on SAP FI/CO functionality and best practices.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage the SAP system post-implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
• In-depth understanding of financial processes and reporting, with experience in accounting, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO integration with other SAP modules like MM, SD, and PS.
• Experience in full SAP implementation lifecycles (design, configuration, testing, go-live, support).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, working effectively in cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA FI/CO modules.
• Knowledge of other SAP modules such as MM, SD, or PS is a plus.
• Experience in Financial Closing Cockpit (FCC) and SAP Fiori applications.
• Certification in SAP FI/CO modules would be a plus.
• Ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a collaborative environment.
