Job Overview:
The Junior Student Counselor will assist students in exploring educational opportunities abroad by providing guidance and support throughout the application process. This role involves understanding students academic and personal goals, advising on suitable overseas institutions, and helping them with admissions, visas, and pre-departure formalities. The Junior Student Counselor will work closely with senior counselors to ensure students receive comprehensive support and accurate information about study abroad programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Counseling:
• Provide initial consultations to prospective students about study options abroad based on their academic interests, qualifications, and career goals.
• Advise on various overseas programs, universities, and courses available across different countries (e.g., the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.).
• Assist in understanding student needs and provide personalized advice.
2. Application Assistance:
• Help students complete application forms for universities and programs, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
• Assist with preparing required documents (e.g., Statement of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation, CVs).
• Guide students in selecting the best-fit institutions based on their academic performance, interests, and financial situation.
3. Visa and Immigration Support:
• Provide guidance on visa application processes and documentation.
• Ensure students are informed about the visa requirements of their destination countries.
• Assist students with pre-departure formalities and help them prepare for their stay abroad.
4. Scholarship and Financial Guidance:
• Inform students about available scholarships, financial aid, and funding options.
• Guide students on preparing financial documents for visa applications and university submissions.
5. Follow-up and Feedback:
• Monitor and follow up on student applications and progress throughout the admission process.
• Collect feedback from students about the services provided, ensuring continuous improvement in the counseling process.
6. Networking and Relationship Building:
• Build relationships with educational institutions and partners to stay updated on the latest courses, scholarships, and admission guidelines.
• Maintain strong relationships with prospective students, current students, and alumni for continued support.
7. Administrative Support:
• Maintain detailed records of student interactions, applications, and documentation.
• Assist in preparing and updating marketing materials, brochures, and presentations related to study abroad opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in counseling or in an educational advisory role, preferably in the study abroad industry.
• Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of overseas education systems, visa processes, and admission requirements.
• Ability to build rapport with students and parents.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
