Proposal Engineer

Job Summary:

The Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for projects, ensuring that client requirements are accurately understood and met. The role involves collaborating with various teams (engineering, procurement, and project management) to generate accurate and competitive proposals that align with the companys offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed proposals for prospective projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
• Analyze customer specifications and needs to ensure proper solution development.
• Coordinate with the sales team, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project information and technical specifications.
• Review contract terms and conditions and identify risks and areas for clarification.
• Develop cost estimates, including material and labor costs, to ensure the proposal is competitive and profitable.
• Ensure the accuracy, clarity, and quality of technical and commercial content within proposals.
• Prepare and submit proposals in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines.
• Manage the proposal documentation process, including version control, filing, and reporting.
• Participate in technical discussions, presentations, and client meetings to clarify aspects of the proposal.
• Assist in the negotiation of terms with clients as needed, in collaboration with the sales and project management teams.
• Provide post-proposal support to the project management team once a proposal is awarded.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, or a related technical field.
• years of experience in proposal engineering, project management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and the technical aspects of the companys offerings.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and proposal management software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
