Skills:
- Accounting Expertise:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in maintaining general ledger accounts, reconciliation, and financial close processes.
- Familiarity with costing, pricing strategies, and inventory accounting.
- Software Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and CRM/ERP systems.
- Data Analysis:
- Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Expertise in financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting.
- Taxation & Compliance:
- In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws, including GST and TDS.
- Experience in preparing tax returns and managing audits.
- Credit & Risk Management:
- Evaluate distributor/wholesale merchant creditworthiness.
- Monitor overdue payments and mitigate financial risks.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and optimize financial processes for distribution.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment reconciliation, and reporting.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in an accounts management role, preferably in food distribution or FMCG companies.
- Education: Bacheloror Masterdegree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent qualifications are a plus.
