The NPD Assistant will support the New Product Development (NPD) team in managing and coordinating various product development activities. This role involves assisting with research, prototype testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development Support:
Assist in the development of new products from concept to launch.
Support the NPD team in market research, competitor analysis, and trend identification.
Work closely with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to facilitate product development.
Track project timelines and ensure deliverables are met within the defined schedules.
2. Prototyping Testing:
Assist in preparing and reviewing product prototypes.
Coordinate product testing, collect feedback, and document improvements.
Work with quality and compliance teams to ensure products meet required standards.
3. Documentation Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of project status, test results, and product specifications.
Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Assist in creating technical documentation, user manuals, and packaging content.
4. Supplier Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source materials and samples.
Assist in evaluating supplier proposals and maintaining supplier databases.
5. Cross-functional Coordination:
Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to align product development with business objectives.
Participate in internal and external meetings related to NPD projects.
Requirements Qualifications Skills:
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Product Design, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in new product development, project management, or a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards is a plus.
