Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in team management and data annotation to oversee and drive our annotation projects to success. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in data annotation workflows, lead diverse teams, and ensure project milestones are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Plan, execute, and deliver data annotation projects on time and within scope.
• Define project objectives, create detailed project plans, and manage risks proactively.
• Monitor project progress, resolve roadblocks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of annotators, quality analysts, and coordinators.
• Delegate tasks effectively while fostering collaboration and a positive work culture.
• Provide regular performance feedback and implement team development initiatives.

Data Annotation Expertise:

• Hands-on involvement in annotation processes, tools, and techniques.
• Develop workflows and guidelines to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot and optimize annotation methodologies to meet evolving project needs.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (AI, product, and data teams) to align objectives.

Quality Assurance and Metrics:

• Set and monitor quality benchmarks for annotation deliverables.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Utilize performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data annotation.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data preparation for training models.
• Strong command of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).

Soft Skills:

• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

• PMP or equivalent project management certification
• Certifications in AI/ML or data management are a plus.
