Project Engineer - Mandarin/Korean Proficiency

Job Summary:

Quest Global Engineering is seeking a highly proficient and experienced Project Support Specialist with native-level fluency in Mandarin/Korean/Bahasa (Indonesian). This role will provide critical support for oil and gas and EPC projects, requiring strong communication, translation, and coordination skills. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between our company and Multilingual clients, suppliers, stakeholders, and business professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare Project Portfolio Management for oil and gas projects.
• Act as a primary point of contact for Mandarin/Korean/Bahasa (Indonesian) speaking clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Lead the cost and schedule estimates for various Gate reviews and participate in the preparation of Gate packages
• Translate technical documents (e. g. , proposals, contracts, reports, specifications) between English and Mandarin with high accuracy.
• Support project managers in all aspects of project execution, including scheduling, communication, and documentation.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the project team and Chinese counterparts.
• Participate in meetings and conference calls with Mandarin/Korean/Bahasa (Indonesian)-speaking stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve communication barriers between different language groups.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of communications and translations.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of projects.

• Native-level fluency in either Mandarin/Korean/Bahasa (Indonesian) (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proven experience supporting projects within the Oil & Gas or EPC industry (5-12 years).
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Good knowledge of SAP related T-codes
• Ability to translate technical documents accurately and efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to relocate to Bangalore, India.

Job Specifications:

• Education: Bachelor degree in engineering / Business Administration.
• Experience: 5-12 years of experience in project support, preferably within the Oil & Gas or EPC sector. Direct experience working with Chinese clients or suppliers is highly advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP/ Primavera P6 / Microsoft Office Suite / similar.
• Experience with project management software is a plus.
• Other Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural collaboration abilities are essential.
