Job Description
As a Bank Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and assessing the risk associated with lending activities. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze financial data and market trends to make informed lending decisions that align with the bank s risk appetite and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applicants, including reviewing income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other relevant financial documents.
- Assess the creditworthiness of borrowers by evaluating their repayment capacity, collateral, and credit history.
- Utilize various financial modeling techniques to forecast future performance and assess the potential risks associated with lending.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as loan officers and underwriters, to gather relevant information and ensure accurate credit assessments.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate losses.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments that may impact lending decisions.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and present findings to senior management for approval.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit analysis activities and documentation in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Master s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
