Job Description
- Full time bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering or Diploma in Fabrication Technology from Sir BPTI Polytechnic, Bhavnagar with at least 6 years experience in a production shop making pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors etc.
- Hands on knowledge of plate rolling, edge preparation, fit up, welding (arc, tig, CO2, SAW), NDE, PWHT, hydro test, tube sheet drilling and milling and heavy lift / rigging is a must.
- Must have worked with carbon steel, various grades of stainless steels and low alloy steels. Good drawing reading skills, comprehension, numerical skills, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Must be able to manage the production team of 250+ men assisting the Sr Manager.
- Salary and position commensurate with skills and exposure. Women are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates from other unrelated backgrounds such as site fabrication or site construction would not qualify for this position. Shop floor experience is a must.
- This position is not open for general diploma holders. Diploma in Fabrication Technology from Sir BPTI is an exception.
