Production Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Research potential vendors.

• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.

• Review quality of purchased products.

• Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.

• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.

• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Preferred candidate profile

Ensuring materials are available for production manufacturing.

• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)

• Inspecting and testing finished products.

• Identifying problems with production or manufactured goods.

• Communicating solutions for production challenges with quality assurance.

• Educating coworkers on health and safety regulations.
