Sr Engr Cslt - Tech Product Management

What youll be doing...

As the Sr Engr Cslt- Tech Product Mgmt for the Product Delivery Management team within the VCG-Business organization, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product management of cross-functional teams that entails planning and overseeing features to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and are in adherence to the established standards and processes. This includes accountability for completing new technical features on time and within budget in coordination with business peers by managing expectations and ensuring communications with GTS resources.
The candidate will also be responsible for the roadmap related to the product(s) they support to drive technical requirements, improve the efficiency and effectiveness of product features and work with a cross-functional group of stakeholders to drive those efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology, infrastructure, scalability, and simplicity. The resource will be able to build new and leverage existing relationships to drive the successful delivery of the product and ensure the business can maintain a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the delivery of new products and features on-time and in-budget.
• Supporting the strategic planning process, roadmap formulation and ensure timely product delivery.
• Working in an agile environment with GTS, Business and AI Science organizations.
• Collaborating with Product owners and Solution Architects to co-develop/manage the roadmap.
• Working with partners like Operations Transformation to derive projected benefits/cost reductions/or revenue opportunities.
• Leading and participating collaboratively with cross-functional teams including GTS, Business and AI Science to execute multi-functional strategies.
• Preparing and delivering executive communications for both VZ India and VZ US leadership.
• Working with the AI Science/Business/GTS teams for any new requirements for ACT setup/resourcing needs.
• Leading or assisting in optimizing and/or implementing new/existing processes and tools such as JIRA, Looker, Smartsheet and other Project/Product Management-related solutions.
• Maintaining excellent communication with ACT team members and direct management to ensure early identification of issues and timely reporting of status.
• Responsible for Driving the JET, JQES & CDH and its Analysis, Implementation and Reporting.
• Manage project budgets, identifying possible risks and opportunities.

Youll need to have:

• Bachelors degree or six years of equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of relevant work experience working with customers.
• Experience with launching products in an agile environment.
• Demonstrated experience and success in building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Looker, Smartsheet or similar product/project and documentation management tools.
• Strong Agile and Product management skills.
• Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows and MS Office.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Independent and self-motivated.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• POPM or CSPO or PMP or PMI-ACP certifications.
• Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
• Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and product requirements.
• Four or more years of Product Management / Development experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Product and/or customer support experience
• Knowledge of Verizon front-end and back-end infrastructure
• Agile Business experience.
• Strong business case skills.
