Solution Advisory Consultant Job Description

Summary:
The Solution Advisory Consultant is a pivotal role responsible for driving new license, subscription, support, and services revenue across the HCL Software portfolio within the Enterprise verticals, including Pharma, Manufacturing, Media, Telco, and Automotive. This role requires a visionary who can evangelize HCL Software’s capabilities in Automation, Generative AI, Application Security, and IT Security to CIOs, IT Heads, and business leaders. The consultant will architect comprehensive digital transformation journeys and co-cultivate thought leadership within HCL Software.

As a key member of the Solution Consulting team, the Solution Advisory Consultant will have a significant impact on our success by supporting solution sales across these critical domains. The consultant will guide revenue growth for specific products such as AI-driven Automation with the support of Sales, Product Management, and the executive team. This hands-on technical consultant will go wide and deep on solution delivery and positioning during sales cycles.

The consultant will conduct advisory sessions to align customer business requirements with IT capabilities, designing roadmaps that leverage HCL Software’s solutions in Automation, Generative AI, Application Security, and IT Security. The role also involves analyzing complex RFIs and RFPs to identify opportunities for software and services offerings. As a Solution Advisory Consultant, the candidate will provide a holistic view of the portfolio and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in key areas such as AI-driven Automation, Security Compliance, IT Governance, and DevOps.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in IT Consulting, Software Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Pre-Sales, and Solution Consulting, with a strong focus on enterprise software, security, and automation.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI, Application Security, IT Automation, and AI-driven Security.
• A minimum of a 4-year university degree.

Responsibilities & Core KPIs:

• Support the India Enterprise Sales team by assisting Client Directors, Product Leaders, and Technical Advisors in pre-sales activities across Automation, Generative AI, Application Security, and IT Security domains.
• Lead discovery workshops to identify customer challenges and align HCL Software solutions, particularly AI-driven Automation, with customer needs through product demonstrations.
• Serve as a technical and domain expert for the client-facing sales team, providing product-specific solutions during sales cycles to meet quarterly and annual sales goals.
• Respond to complex RFIs, RFPs, and internal HCL requests regarding multi-product Software and Services opportunities within the Pharma, Manufacturing, Media, Telco, and Auto verticals.
• Lead solution architecture efforts to align customer business requirements with HCL Software’s portfolio, focusing on automation, security, compliance, and AI-driven innovation.
• Evangelize HCL Software’s portfolio in Generative AI, IT Automation, Application Security, and Cybersecurity to CIOs and business leaders, painting a comprehensive digital transformation journey tailored to each vertical.
• Provide feedback to Product Management regarding product enhancements that can address customer needs and add value, especially in AI-driven automation, security compliance, and IT governance.
• Participate in and contribute to Go-To-Market strategy sessions with a focus on the Enterprise verticals, excluding Government and Banking.
• Support marketing events, including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows, with a focus on Automation, AI-driven Security, and Application Security solutions.
• Share and learn best practices and reusable assets with other Solution Consultants to enhance the team’s quality and efficiency.
• Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation in Automation, Generative AI, Application Security, and IT Security to effectively position HCL Software solutions.
• Build and nurture a network of customer contacts and relationships over time, emphasizing the value of HCL Software’s AI-driven Automation, Security, and Compliance solutions.
