- Quality Planning for New Product Development: Checking manufacturing feasibility, designing new process, planning tooling.
- Giving inputs to engineering in Design Review, Setting APQP procedures
- Planning, Procurement, installation and commissioning of new equipment and machine required for New Product Development.
- Establishing the capability of the new processes for new products
- Ensuring the capacity of in-house manufacturing lines to meet market demands.
- Supporting the procurement and replenishment of the JIGS FIXTURES.
- Releasing SOP, Specification sheet for each process on the line
- Reviewing line layout to identify nonvalue added activities to improve use of shop floor space, productivity improvement scope and scope of material flow improvement.
- Capturing and recording (in change management record) any change in existing product design, Process, tooling, raw material source and Filling Manufacturing change request
- Updating affected process documents i.e. PFD, FMEA, CP, PPAP file affected due to manufacturing change.
- Updating shop floor documents i.e. SOP, WI affected due to manufacturing change.
- Auditing lines to ensure availability of latest WI, SOP at all manufacturing processes.
- Review of FMEA/CP to ensure that all critical/major characteristics are incorporated.
Review of FMEA/CP to check presence and effectiveness of monitoring mechanism for critical Characteristics.
- Planning process improvement projects based on following data -
COPQ/PPM/Quality Issues
- Productivity Improvement with aim to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop people through regular reviews and PDs
- Exposure to manufacturing Processes like sheet metal, plastic molding, rubber molding and pressure die casting,
- Exposure to mass production manufacturing assembly processes.
- Quality system-APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 6Sigma, Kaizen
- Process design, feasibility of product manufacturing, machine and accessory selection.
- Tools, Jigs Fixtures designing, manufacturing.
- User level knowledge of Auto Cad (2D and 3D drawings), workshop technology processes,
- Understand VSM, plant layouts, process flow, takt time, cycle Time motion study, information flow, line balancing,
- Understand lean manufacturing with scale-up/down possibilities.
- Process capability Cp, Cpk, Ppk, Measure of variations, DoE
- Analytical problem solving
- Technical Problem solving
- Project Management
- Communication skill- Negotiation skill
- Presentation
- Leadership qualities Lead Project/ task management independently
