Process Planning For LPDC

• Setting up of New Plant:
• Process & Layout Planning, Equipment spec preparation to buy-off, Equipment installation & commissioning, Trial and ramp up support New Model Introduction:
• Overall development planning and management, Concurrent engineer, Casting die spec preparation to buy-off, Die Drawing Approval, Quality Trail, Management Approval Up-gradation of existing facilities:
• Up-gradation/Renewal of existing facilities, Automation and process improvement

Job Responsibilities :

• Process Planning: Process design with in-process checks for Low Pressure Die casting components (Cylinder Head) for mass production
• Facility Planning & set-up: Preparation of Equipment specification, layouts, procurement of machines involving Technical evaluation through the tendering process, installation & commissioning
• Capacity expansion for existing set-up by Bottleneck identification & elimination by Kaizens & cycle time reduction
• New technology introduction for supporting the desirable Manufacturing process in casting shops
• Proactively Identification of defects/ gaps to design foolproofing in the casting manufacturing process
• Development and design of jigs, fixtures, and inspection gauges.

Technical/ Functional Competencies :

• Domain knowledge of manufacturing processes & machining processes involved in 5C components, drawing reading, Knowledge of process quality control parameters and techniques
• Ability to understand technical and commercial requirements for the set-up of Casting shop & to evaluate alternatives with Cost-benefit analysis
• Hands-on experience on equipment/plant set-up related to casting shop for LPDC
• Product development design Concepts of LPDC.
• Knowledge of calculation of Casting parameters, Casting components & casting equipment design
• Familiar with software such as Uni-graphics, Auto-cad, Factory-CAD, Metal Flow Simulation
• Ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at the supplier end
