SAP Solution Architect (4-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Your Role and Responsibilities :

- Solution and Deliver SAP Transformational programs into IBM Cloud, with deep involvement in the platform, data, security and infrastructure design.

- Lead Architecture, Strategy, Design and Roadmap of all Integration patterns within any SAP Hybrid integration Landscape.

- Understand and act as a Subject Expert in SAP architectural models and integration between the platforms, always developing for the least risk.

- Understand the clients application modernization needs and the best cloud modernization strategy for the client.

- Maintain alignment with Product Owners Management business strategy, drivers, and goals

- Ensure that the solutioning of client engagement enhances the customer's competitive advantage, whilst meeting profit and quality targets for IBM

- Supporting the continuous refinement of IBM's services, including maturation/training of methods, tools, and points of view, as well as integration with IBM's other services and products for synergistic value. Harvest, share and present intellectual capital from past and parallel engagement

- Define and elaborate SAP architectures in IBM Cloud , create public SAP architecures and work with Technical Writing Team to publish it on IBM Cloud SP dedicated documentation repos

- Work with Github as our source code management tool

- Become a contributor for CI/CD topics and get familiar with Github pipelines ,REST API development

- Basic know-how How SAP LAMA (Landscape Management) works to use it for the execution of your scripts & libraries

- Help the team to automate reoccurring manual operational tasks into script-based workflows

- Familiar with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) to make use of its potential for automation

- Very good knowledge of Ansible, very good knowledge about infrastructure automation and best practice concepts

- Analyze and implement SAP support methodology.

- Bring comprehensive knowledge on SAP S/4HANA architecture, conversion, and migration path.

- Understand the SAP high availability or disaster recovery architecture, network, and virtualization technologies (e.g., tranzit gateways , load-balancer, virtual machine etc.).

- Ability to own, lead and coordinate migration related tasks and activities.

- Deliver high quality migration service to ensure stable operations.

- Scripting/programming languages Perl, Python , Ansible, Terraform

- Understanding in different SAP solutions is beneficial.

- Experience with database technologies (HANA,DB2,ASE SYBASE, MaxDB,Oracle,MsSql).

- Solution evaluation, recommendation and management experience.

- Experience with scaling infrastructure and process inside a rapidly growing business.

- Experience in requirements identification, solution analysis/testing, and product selection.

- Expert knowledge and practice with multiple public clouds.

- Strong hands on experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation and orchestration (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).

- Knowledge about CI/CD concepts and the usage of DevOps tools for automated code testing, is beneficial

- Experience with Linux OS and provisioning of scripts that run on Linux

- Usage & implementation of APIs in self-written scripts

- Interest to learn about and work with SAP BTP & SAP LAMA

- The SAP Architect develops roadmaps, applies technology to solve complex business processes.

- Develops a holistic enterprise architecture model that supports established enterprise goals and bridges the gap between business and technology needs. Helps clients to future-proof their technology environment.

- Establish IT infrastructure, maintain and update IT hardware, software, services.

- Map business requirements to (SAP) solutions

- Must understand Cloud Architecture and be familiar with the SAP RISE movement.

- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of solution development , testing and release for Greenfield System Implementation

- Expert in analyzing system specifications, and developing tests and validation of business solutions utilizing SAP and digital technologies.

- Establish and coach Testing Standards to be followed for the implementation program and drive stakeholder acceptance

- Engage with customer IT, business and strategic partners to translate business requirements to test coverage

- Own SAP Test Strategy for functionality and integrations with services and systems within SAP ecosystem

- Manage Test Planning, Functional Test management and Non-functional testing of technical solutions utilizing SAP and digital technologies

- Drive Test Design and Execution for Functional Integration Tests, E2E Tests, Integration Tests

- Guide the Testing Team to identify, develop and organize Test Scenarios, Test Cases and variants as per the business requirements

- Enable evaluation of functional integrity of the technical solution through relevant quality engineering solutions

Process Automation Development :

- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Terraform for Infrastructure platforms and Phyton, shell scripts and Ansible for SAP application automation .

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.

Programming and Scripting :

- Utilize programming and scripting skills to enhance and customize automation workflows.

- Develop and maintain code to support automation initiatives and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Business Process Analysis :

- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes to identify areas for automation.

- Engage with business units to gather detailed requirements and understand their automation needs.

Solution Design and Implementation :

- Design and implement scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Ensure solutions are aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Documentation and Training :

- Create comprehensive documentation and reference architectures for automation processes and solutions.

- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on implemented automation solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise :

- SAP S4/HANA transformation projects experience

- 6 +years experience developing enterprise architecture models that are closely aligned with business strategies and operating models.

- 5 years of experience as an SAP Technical Lead or Integration Architect

- Experience in architecting and managing complex SAP BTP solutions and platforms. Strong understanding of SAP BTP services, including Cloud Foundry, SAP Business Application Studio, and integration tools.

- Integration of SAP and non-SAP applications.

- Demonstrated know-how for Enterprise architecture methodology and framework

- 10+ years work experience in SAP product consulting, systems integration, or architect role that are closely aligned with business strategies and operating models.

- 6 +years experience developing enterprise architecture models that are closely aligned with business strategies and operating models.

- Multiple greenfield implementations and brownfiled various activities such as migrations for various SAP and non-SAP related software and databases (HANA,ASE SYB , Oracle,DB2,MaxDB , MySQL running on either Unix or Windows operating systems

- 5+ years of SAP Testing experience with functional expertise in SAP Core Modules

- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities with quick adaptation to new situations, landscape and stakeholders

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline.

- TOGAF Certification

- SAP Cloud ERP certification

- SAP Cloud platform technology certification

- SAP OS/DB Migration certification

- IBM Cloud professional certification

- Any other hyperscalers certification is a plus (AWS,AZURE,GCP)
