Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Developer with at least 3-7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), along with proficiency in Python or ETL tools. This role will focus on database migration, development, and optimization to support our data-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities :

- Database Development and Maintenance : Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient databases in PostgreSQL and MSSQL.

- Data Migration : Lead database migration projects, ensuring data accuracy and integrity when migrating data between systems.

- Performance Optimization : Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks, including query optimization, indexing, and schema improvements.

- ETL Development : Develop and manage ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading, ensuring data is processed accurately and efficiently.

- Data Integration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data integrations between different applications and databases.

- Scripting and Automation : Write Python scripts for data transformation and automation of recurring database tasks.

- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, ETL processes, and migration procedures.

- Security and Compliance : Implement security best practices and compliance standards across all database environments.

- Collaboration : Work closely with data analysts, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable database solutions.

Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience : at least 3-7 years of experience in database engineering/development, with a focus on PostgreSQL and MSSQL.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)

- Experience with data migration techniques and tools

- Hands-on experience with Python for database-related scripting and automation

- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Apache NiFi, Pentaho, or similar

- Strong understanding of database optimization, indexing, and partitioning

- Experience with database backup, recovery, and performance monitoring tools

- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP)

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for database schema management
