Job Description

  • You will be playing a crucial role in helping to drive the business forward and will be part of a dynamic team culture offering strong internal networks and support
  • Your role will be to manage a defined large account portfolio of targets to drive opportunities, relationships across the firm
  • You will work to develop your own network and relationships with the clients, understand their issues and, from that, develop solutions
  • The role will also involve managing a portfolio of regionally/ nationally based Corporate targets to drive relationships, raise awareness of Clear s brand, create opportunities, oversee strategic proposals
  • As a presales engineer, you work closely with the sales team before a deal is closed, usually in B2B technology sales
  • You will be the customer s most trusted advisor because you have a deep understanding of your company s value proposition and your customer s pain points
  • You will support the sales team all throughout the sales process and function as the technical resource for your team and the technical point of contact for your prospects

Responsibilities

  • Conducting client meetings/discovery calls with Sales Representatives for technical consultation
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their Compliance and Supply Chain SaaS needs - Lead end to end tech solutioning of the deal
  • Create an implementation plan for the proposed solution approach, specific to the client s IT infrastructure
  • Strategizing with the sales team to create customized solutions in line with ClearTax products
  • Drafting and delivering technical solution presentations to CIOs and IT team members
  • Supporting the sales team with due diligence, IT security and all technical related queries
  • Ensuring that requirement documentation is maintained to the highest quality and accuracy

Required Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent work experience as a Solutions Engineer/ Pre Sales Engineer
  • Great communication skills - Frequent and clear written communication with a knack for taking technical language and making it understandable to a layman is vital
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - A passion for solving tough problems and proposing elegant solutions
  • Self-driven work ethic - You should be a self-starter who loves taking initiative and seeing things through to completion
  • Curiosity and the desire to learn and adapt - Our business is changing and growing fast
  • So flexibility is the key to learning and helping teach others
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with enterprise software systems like SAP ECC, S4/HANA, Oracle JDE, Oracle Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics Nav/AX, Tally, etc is a plus
  • Flexibility - An understanding of the 24/7 nature of business and a can-do attitude to help with weekend, holiday, and/or evening coverage
  • Attention to detail, Patience, grace, and a sense of humor
