Plant Head - PVC Pipes & Fittings Segment (15-25 yrs)

The Plant Head will oversee the end-to-end operations of a greenfield PVC pipes and fittings manufacturing plant. This includes production, quality assurance, maintenance, HR, administration, and dispatch. The role involves driving operational excellence, ensuring cost efficiency, and leading the plant to achieve production and quality targets while managing a skilled workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant Management & Administration: Lead overall plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, HR, administration, and dispatch. Develop and implement efficient operational policies and processes.

2. Production Planning & Control: Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization. Monitor and control production processes to ensure on-time delivery and consistent output quality.

3. Processing Control & Plant Operations: Oversee extrusion and moulding processes for PVC, CPVC, PPR, HDPE, and LLDPE materials. Ensure seamless plant operations with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

4. Cost Control & Management: Implement cost-saving measures across operations to improve profitability. Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure optimal resource allocation.

5. Plant Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment. Monitor the performance of plant equipment to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency. Oversee troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring rapid resolution of issues.

6. Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring process reliability and efficiency. Oversee quality assurance processes, conducting tests and validations to meet ISO and market standards.

7. Manpower Management (HR): Manage recruitment, training, and retention of skilled manpower to meet operational needs. Maintain employee engagement and ensure adherence to HR policies and processes.

8. New Machine Setups & Trials: Lead the installation of new machinery and ensure successful commissioning. Conduct mold trials and troubleshoot issues to ensure readiness for production.

9. ISO Documentation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO standards, maintaining accurate documentation and audits. Uphold safety and environmental regulations to create a secure working environment.

10. Administration & Dispatch: Oversee plant administration, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Manage dispatch and logistics to ensure timely delivery of finished goods to customers.

11. PVC Pipe & Fittings Expertise: Leverage expertise in PVC pipe and fitting formulations for product quality and process optimization. Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field.

- 15+ years of experience in managing PVC pipe and fittings manufacturing operations, including extrusion and moulding processes.

- In-depth knowledge of PVC, CPVC, PPR, HDPE, and LLDPE materials and formulations.

- Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and operational planning skills.

- Proven experience in managing ISO documentation, plant maintenance, HR, administration, and dispatch. Excellent communication and team management abilities.
