Electrical DesignEngineer (Panel Board Manufacturing)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our panel board manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing,and optimizing electrical panel boards, including low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role demands technical expertise, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:
• Develop detailed electrical design sand layouts for panel boards,including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and component specifications.
• Select appropriate components such as circuit breakers, relays, transformers, and busbars based on project requirements.
• Create and review Bill of Materials(BOM)for panel board projects.

2. Project Collaboration:

• Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless execution of designs during manufacturing.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to understand requirements and resolve design-related issues.

3. Testing and Troubleshooting:

• Support in-house testing of panel boards to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design and assembly issues during production and testing.

QualificationsandSkills:

• Education: Diploma/bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in panel board manufacturing or a similar field.

TechnicalSkills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD,E-PLAN,or similardesign tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components and systems.
• Understanding of electrical codes and standards(e.g.,IEC,NEC,NEMA).

SoftSkills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and team work abilities.
• Detail-orientedwith the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PLC and automation system design.
• Familiarity with power distribution systems and control panels.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance in panel board production.

Work Environment:

• Office and factoryenvironment with occasional visits to client sites.
• May involve hands-on interaction with electrical equipment during testing or troubleshooting.
