Position Overview:

PowerLook Apparels is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work with large datasets to extract insights, create visualizations, and support strategic decision-making across the company. You will work closely with teams from merchandising, marketing, sales, and supply chain to deliver actionable data-driven insights that will improve business performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection & Cleaning: Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources (e.g., sales, inventory, customer behavior) ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Perform data transformation and data wrangling to prepare data for analysis.

• Analysis & Reporting: Analyse sales trends, customer purchasing behaviours, inventory levels, and marketing campaign performance. Create regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for different departments to inform business decisions.

Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve product offerings, pricing strategies, and sales tactics.

• Data Visualization: Develop interactive dashboards and visual reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or others) that help stakeholders understand trends and patterns at a glance.
• Market Research: Conduct competitor and market analysis to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging patterns in the apparel sector. Provide insights into product performance and customer sentiment through analysis of external data sources.
• Forecasting & Modeling: Build predictive models to forecast demand, sales trends, and inventory requirements. Collaborate with supply chain and merchandising teams to improve stock planning and minimize overstock/out-of-stock scenarios.
• Collaboration & Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to provide actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.

Present findings and recommendations to senior management clearly and concisely.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in retail, fashion, or e-commerce sectors. Proven experience working with large datasets and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, macros, etc.).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Strong knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with statistical modeling, regression analysis, and forecasting techniques is a plus.

• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of retail or apparel industry trends, including sales, inventory management, pricing strategies, and consumer behaviour.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the fashion or apparel industry.
