We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Buying and Sourcing Manager/ Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of the business.

Job Summary:

The Buying and Sourcing Manager will be responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and procurement of raw materials, fabrics, and finished apparel products. This role will require strategic planning, market research, vendor relationship management, and effective negotiation skills to ensure the company sources quality products at competitive prices while maintaining the highest standards of quality and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing & Procurement Strategy:
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to meet the company’s product development and production requirements.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to expand and diversify the supply base.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
2. Vendor Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Conduct regular supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
• Manage supplier negotiations and resolve any issues regarding quality, delivery, or pricing.
3. Product Development Collaboration:
• Work closely with the design, production, and merchandising teams to understand product requirements and ensure sourcing aligns with the company’s vision and specifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that sourcing plans meet seasonal timelines, production schedules, and product availability needs.
4. Market Analysis & Trends:
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies.
• Provide insights into sourcing strategies based on market trends, customer needs, and sales forecasts.
5. Cost Management & Budgeting:
• Monitor and manage procurement budgets to ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising on quality.
• Implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining the desired product quality and standards.
6. Quality Control & Compliance:
• Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work with the quality control team to address any production or quality issues that arise during the sourcing process.
7. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
• Collaborate with the inventory and logistics teams to ensure proper stock levels and efficient order fulfillment.
• Manage lead times and ensure the availability of products as per production timelines and seasonal demands.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in buying, sourcing, or procurement within the apparel industry (preferably with experience in men's fashion or garment production).
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing strategies, supply chain management, and market trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant procurement software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
