Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Visualization Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing highly interactive and insightful Power BI reports and dashboards. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver high-quality visualizations that drive decision-making.

In addition to Power BI expertise, the ideal candidate should possess secondary skills in Power Platform, Data Modeling, Python, and ETL processes to enable seamless data flow and advanced analytics across our data landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.

- For a given dataset the visualization Engineer should be able to tell the Product Owners what all insights he/she can provide.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and create meaningful data visualizations that provide actionable insights.

- Perform data modeling and create relationships between disparate data sources sssfor optimal reporting.

- Write and optimize complex DAX calculations for creating custom measures, calculated columns, and aggregation logic in Power BI.

- Work on ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI using tools like Power Query, SSIS, or Python-based solutions.

- Ensure seamless integration of Power Platform components such as Power Apps and Power Automate to enhance interactivity within reports and automate workflows.

- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to build efficient data pipelines that support large datasets and advanced analytics.

- Utilize Python for data wrangling, statistical analysis, and embedding custom analytics into Power BI dashboards.

- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met in all reporting solutions.

- Provide technical support and best practices guidance to business users on Power BI usage and report optimization.

Required/Must-Have Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.

- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling and creating relationships between data sources within Power BI.

- Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) and experience integrating them with Power BI.

- Hands-on experience with ETL processes using tools like Power Query, SSIS, or Python-based solutions.

- Solid knowledge of SQL and experience querying data from various sources (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).

- Experience in Python scripting for data manipulation and advanced analytics.

- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and role-based access control in Power BI.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in Power BI reports and data pipelines.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, or Databricks.

- Familiarity with machine learning models and their integration into Power BI.

- Knowledge of KEDRO framework for data pipelines and workflow management.

- Exposure to AI-driven analytics and the incorporation of predictive models into Power BI visualizations.

- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Power Platform App Maker are a plus.
