Maintenance Engineer-HDPE Pipes & Fittings

• Role & responsibilities

• Graduate Engineer in Electrical / Mechanical with 5- 10 years of experience in maintenance in a plastic pipe manufacturing plan
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• The confidence to respond positively when under pressure People-management skills.
• Designs maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods
• Carries out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
• Diagnoses breakdown problems
• Fits new parts and makes sure equipment is working correctly
• Carries out quality inspections on jobs
• Liaises with production department and other engineering colleagues
• Arranges procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components
• Controls maintenance tools, stores and equipment
• Monitors and controls maintenance costs
• Deals with emergencies, unplanned, problems, and repairs
• Improves health and safety policies and procedures
• Works with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery in the plan
• Writes maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
• Ensures there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate Engineer in Electrical / Mechanical with 5- 10 years of experience in maintenance in a plastic pipe manufacturing plan
• UAE /GCC/ African Experience preferred.
