JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: INVST - Investments Mid-Office

Location: Goregaon (Mumbai) / Gurgaon (Haryana)

Department: Finance

Function: Investment Mid office

Reporting to: Director - Investment Operations & Taxation

Context & Role:

The jobholder will have the responsibility of, Compliance of Investment policy and Cash management, accurate and timely submission of IRDAI reports, strict adherence to IRDA regulations , Investment risk management and Knowledge of Interest Rate Derivative


Key Responsibilities:


 Cash Management

 Investment Reporting as required by IRDAI, Regional team and Management

 Monitoring various limits prescribed by IRDAI for various investments

 Knowledge of Investment Accounting and interaction with the Finance & Actuarial team for financials & reporting.

 Excellent understanding of IRDAI Investment regulations and Investments systems

 Responsible for all Investment related audits

 Independent evaluation of Competitors performance with respect to General Account & Separate account.

 Review, monitor and assess investment risk associated in the following areas : Derivative risk, Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, Credit Risk & ALM Risk.

 Review, monitor and assess Dealing Room Controls and Checks.
Measures of Performance:

• Timely and accurate reporting of IRDAI, Regional team and various MIS

• Strict adherence to IRDAI regulations, specifically with respect to monitoring various limits

• Adherence of Investment Risk management & other guidelines.

• Independent analysis of Competitors performance and portfolio

• Managing all audits related to Derivative transactions

• Formation of Investment Risk Dashboard and monitoring on the outliers.

Desired qualifications and experience :

• Graduate / Post graduate in Commerce / CA/ MBA with a specialization in Finance from a premier institute.

Knowledge and skills required :

• At least 5 years of experience of Handling Investment mid & back office activities.
