Key Responsibilities:
System expert
- Formulation, ideation, and implementation of workflow systems
- Data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
- Identify issues and make recommendations based on impact of new/emerging technology or modifications to existing systems.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Formulate and define system scope and objective based on user needs and understanding of business processes.
- Develop, write, and communicate systems design and functional system.
- Analyze customer's systems to understand strengths and weaknesses for the identification of opportunities for improvements.
- Develop system test cases and validates test results during testing.
- Analyze testing results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business.
- Document system modifications
- Support effort to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Escalates issues as appropriate.
- Coach and transfer knowledge to less experienced team members.
Analytics
- Analyzing the medical and financial information provided by insurance applicants
- Evaluating the recommendations and observations made by the sales force.
- Making the department MIS
- Researching additional information, such as medical histories or credit scores.
- Process review and analysis
- Analyzing and determining the relevancy of risk factors.
- Coordinating with the actuarial, product and claims team as and when required
Underwriting
- High value medical and financial underwriting
- Reinsurance management
- Managing the administrative and operational responsibilities
- Vendor management
Required qualifications and experience:
Qualification: Graduation (Preferred candidates with experience as a business analyst in Underwrting and system know how with Training in UW through ALU / III / LOMA / COMET / Other similar programs)
- Preferred Underwriting experience of 8 -12 yrs. in life insurance or work experience in industries like Health Insurance
- Understanding of Risk Management and Underwriting business rule management through understanding of various underwriting risks and system rile engines and Artificial intelligence.
- Financial Documentation Analysis (P&L, Balance Sheets, ITRs, etc.)
- Proficient Command and skills in MS Office and MS Excel
