Senior Sustainable Farming Development Officer (SSFDO)

He / She will work as Senior Sustainable Farming Development officer for the overall implementation of Sustainable Agriculture programme through the teams in the field. He/She will be on middle level management cadre which good potential to grow in the organization. Broadly, the responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities include:

• To manage sustainable agriculture initiatives with field teams in multi locations.
• Ability to independently plan and implement programme initiative
• Manage administrative functions as may be required for team management
• Expansion of theme outreach, liaison with all stakeholders mainly with senior govt. officials.
• Shall be responsible for the quality delivery of the agriculture interventions at the field leading to adoption of standard PoPs.
• Timely documentations and reporting as per requirement of the projects and ensure smooth fund flow.
• Tracking the performance of Agronomist and SFDO on regular basis.
• Spearheading the team of SMS/ Agronomist in deliveries of services at Farm level.
• Monitor the sustainable agriculture organic farming component in all the projects and programs of PAPL.
• Ensuring 100% achievement on Organic certification in coordination with Certification unit.
• All market linked production cluster in assigned area achieves committed supplies.
• Develops actionable plans and monitors the progress, ensure timely reporting.
• Assist in production of capacity building communication material e.g. toolkits, study material, documentary, etc.
• Trouble shooting support to Team Members to facilitate effective implementation of agriculture activities at the field, shall be responsible for the quality of the agriculture interventions at the field.

What you bring

• Masters' degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/ Forestry/Agribusiness/ Rural Development/Social Work
• Min. 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands on approach; a can-do attitude with good organizational skills
• Capable of handling confidential information with discretion and integrity
• Decision making & Time management
• Cross Functional collaborations
• Data analysis and reporting (Very good skills with MS Office Word, Power Point and Excel),
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Self-Motivated and should be able to plan and execute strategies for growth.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and articulation skills in English, Hindi & Odiya
• Capable of working independently with minimal guidance
• Focused on meeting the deadline while delivering critical tasks
