Business Development Manager - FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations)

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an energetic and experienced professional to integrate our backend supply chain by onboarding Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) for the bulk supply of agricultural commodities. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our supply chain and building strong relationships with farmer cooperatives across India.

Key Responsibilities:

   •       Identify and onboard business-ready FPOs for bulk supply partnerships.

   •       Assess and evaluate the production systems, governance structures, and capabilities of FPOs.

   •       Liaise with promoting institutions to ensure the seamless onboarding of FPOs.

   •       Build FPOs capacity in supply chain management, focusing on quality control, logistics, and efficient operations.

   •       Support FPOs in adopting sustainable farming practices and improving productivity.

   •       Develop long-term relationships with FPOs and other stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

MBA, Agriculture, or related field.

   •       Minimum seven (07) years of experience in marketing, client development, or a related field in agriculture or agribusiness.

   •       Proven track record of working with or developing FPOs, farmer cooperatives, or supply chains.

   •       Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

   •       Knowledge of organic and regenerative farming practices is a plus.
