We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team at Koodoo

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and DevOps practices

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using GCP and Kubernetes

Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

Set up and maintain monitoring and observability solutions

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines

Ensure network security and performance across our infrastructure

Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment and scalability

Requirements:

Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management

Strong experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management

Extensive knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly:

Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

Load Balancers

Serverless solutions (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)

Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)

Experience with Prometheus for monitoring and alerting

Proficiency in Grafana for metrics visualisation and dashboarding

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions and/or CircleCI

Solid understanding of networking concepts, including:

IP addressing and CIDR notation

GCP Private Service Connect (PSC)

Firewalls

TLS/SSL protocols

Ideal Qualifications:

Experience with NGINX and Ingress Controllers in Kubernetes environments

Knowledge of DNS management, particularly with Cloudflare and Google Cloud DNS

Familiarity with OAuth and experience implementing authentication solutions like Auth0

Understanding of GCP Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Optional Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience with MongoDB Atlas

Knowledge of the Grafana LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)

Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault or other secrets management solutions

Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

4+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering or DevOps role

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud-native technologies
