As CPF CIO, drive the charter to give competitive edge to the Piramal Pharma (PPL) business by proactively strategizing and enabling world class high quality innovative IT, Digital, Analytics technologies, aligning with Tech vision - Catalyst.
In addition, this role is also responsible for strategizing and implementing end to end technologies for Consumer Products Business (CPD), CPF / Central IT Applications.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: Will report to - Group CIO
Direct Reportees IT Leads of CPD, CPF and Central IT Applications
QUALIFICATION: Engineering / CA + MBA
EXPERIENCE:
▪ Around 20 years of experience within the IT Services or Industry with minimum 5 years in the digital transformation of the business
▪ 10-12 years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
▪ Experience in business partnership and delivering technology solutions to create business differentiators
▪ Experience in developing and executing technology strategy
▪ Experience in Emerging Digital technologies like Intelligent Automation, Analytics, Cloud etc. as well as understanding of Innovation techniques and concepts like Design Thinking, Bimodal IT, Agile development.
▪ Strong understanding of Architecture and Design principles for futuristic, scalable technology solutions
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
▪ Partner with Business CIOs, CPF Heads, Group CIO & Senior IT leaders to lead the digital transformation strategy and execution for CPD Business, CPF and Central Applications.
▪ Provide vision & strategy, enable innovation and seek to leverage IT trends that can create
business value consistent with the companys requirements and expectations.
Digital / Technology:
▪ Create and lead the implementation of CPD, Central Applications and technologies for CPF -
HR, CS, Branding, Legal, M&A etc. Keep updating the same by tracking the emerging digital
technology trends e.g. Intelligent Automation leveraging RPA, Chatbots etc. for relevant
business outcome. Identify, build & refine all the digital touch points across all Central Partner
Functions.
▪ Lead non-SAP stream of SAP S4 HANA Implementation
▪ Lead the introduction and conceptualization of Pilots, Proof of Concepts in new technology
areas. Collaborate with technology teams across other Piramal businesses and leverage the
knowledge, POC's, pilots and solutions for mutual benefit.
▪ Drive the technology culture transformation agenda for the group partnering with Business
CIOs, including internal and external technology branding
Stakeholder Management:
▪ Partner with CPF Heads at strategic level to drive technology / digital agenda for CPF.
▪ Partner with Business CIOs at strategic level to enable technology / digital strategies within
businesses
▪ Management of our key suppliers to ensure availability of all our core application services for
all PPL employees on global basis.
Budget Management:
▪ As part of Group CIO office, Budget accountability for all Central technology expense and
portfolio budgets
▪ Identifying proactive opportunities for cost savings through automation, improving service
quality.
Standards & Governance:
▪ Keep up to date with technology trends and development of enterprise technology standards
▪ Establishing Newer ways of working Design Thinking, Agile Product / Platform Development
Approach etc.
▪ Manage strategic vendor partner relationships. Setup and run the Governance with the
partners. Build strategic relationships for creating value for the organization.
▪ Participate in the formulation of the company's enterprise architecture and business system
plans; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the
strategic goals of the businesses.
