Job Description

Design and develop 3D piping models and layouts using AVEVA E3D software.
Create detailed piping isometrics , general arrangement drawings , and layout drawings .
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure that piping systems are well-integrated with other project components.

Perform clash detection within the 3D environment, resolving design conflicts and ensuring seamless integration.

Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure accurate material tracking and ordering.

Review project specifications and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to ensure proper system design.

Assist in preparing design reports , ensuring compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, etc.).

Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Work closely with the construction team to address any design issues or modifications during the project execution.

Assist in creating project schedules , tracking progress, and meeting deadlines.

Provide support and mentoring to junior design team members.

Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring version control and compliance with internal procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in AVEVA E3D or similar 3D modeling software.

Experience in the design of piping systems , including layout, supports, valves, and instrumentation.

Knowledge of piping materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys), fittings, and related equipment.

Experience with P&ID interpretation and integration with 3D models.

Strong understanding of piping codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, and API.

Ability to perform clash detection and resolve conflicts using E3D tools.

Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) generation and material specification.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools.

Familiarity with other design and analysis tools, such as Navisworks for 3D visualization and collaboration.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Requirements

Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering , Piping Design , or related field (or equivalent experience).

AVEVA E3D certification or training in 3D piping design is highly desirable.

Previous experience in oil & gas , chemical , petrochemical , or power generation industries is preferred.

Familiarity with stress analysis software or pipe support design is a plus.

Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and workflows is an asset.

Understanding of interdisciplinary coordination (structural, electrical, and mechanical design) within 3D environments.
