Test Engineer - Automation Testing (5-12 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

1. Test Planning and Strategy :

- Develop detailed test plans and test scenarios based on functional requirements, business use cases, and technical specifications of the FlexCube modules.

- Identify testing scope, objectives, risks, and the testing approach for all phases of the testing lifecycle.

2. Test Execution :

- Perform functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing for different FlexCube modules.

- Ensure the FlexCube system integrates correctly with third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, external banking networks).

- Validate business logic for core banking operations such as customer management, account management, loans, and deposits.

3. Automation Testing :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing and functional testing using test automation tools.

- Implement test automation best practices to increase the speed and efficiency of testing, especially for repetitive tasks.

4. Performance and Load Testing :

- Conduct performance testing to ensure FlexCube can handle a high volume of transactions and users, particularly during peak banking hours.

- Identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.

5. Defect Management :

- Report and manage defects found during testing using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).

- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues.

6. Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA team members to understand requirements, features, and workflows within the FlexCube solution.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to stay aligned with development progress and deliverables.

7. Documentation and Reporting :

- Document test cases, test results, and defect reports clearly and concisely.

- Provide regular updates on test progress, risks, and issues to management and stakeholders.

8. Compliance and Regulatory Testing :

- Ensure that the FlexCube system complies with relevant banking regulations, standards, and security requirements.

- Perform compliance testing for financial transactions, security protocols, and regulatory reporting.
