Job Description

Role Proficiency:

Develop applications in assigned area of responsibility on ERP/CRM systems with minimal guidance from a Lead Developer

Outcomes:

  1. Work with project team to develop unit test and document small and medium complex level programs as needed for the projects
  2. Follows the best practises set by the project requirements.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned or requested
  4. Code debug test and document; communicate product/component/feature during development stages.
  5. Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models
  6. Learn technology business domain system domain individually and as recommended by the project/account
  7. Define/review technical requirements based on user stories.
  8. Mentor new team members
  9. Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities like (but not limited to) assembling content for case studies contributing to reusability coordinating internal seminars and conduct knowledge sharing sessions organizing sessions during and participating in hackathons etc.
  10. Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
  11. Suggest appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components
  12. Set goals in NorthStar measure progress timely and update accordingly

  1. Completion of applicable technical/domain certifications
  2. Adherence to coding standards set by ERP/CRM Practice
  3. Number of mandatory training requirements (technology/industry specific training programs and UST mandatory trainings)
  4. Reduction of reoccurrence of known defects

  7. Adhere to SLAs where applicable (if supporting)

Requirement:

  1. Understand the requirements/user stories


Estimate:

  1. Estimate time
    effort
    and resource dependence for ones own work and for others work
    including modules. Follow scrum ceremonies.


Design:

  1. Understand the design/LLD and link it to requirements/user stories


Configuration and Coding::

  1. Adhere to coding standards and follow ERP/CRM best practices. Develop code independently.


Test:

  1. Create unit test plan for assigned requirements
    and conduct unit testing.
  2. Test class coverage above 95%.


Code Review:

  1. Participate in code reviews with Tech Lead
  2. Interact with client for technical discussions under supervision


Manage Defects:

  1. Perform defect RCA and mitigation

  1. Manage module level activities

  1. Create documentation for own work as well as perform peer review of documentation of others work

    SALESFORCE.COM DATA MIGRATION SPECIALIST/ DATA ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION Salesforce Data Specialists analyze and transfer information from one or more sources to a Salesforce system after applying the required transformations and business logic. They generally oversee the entire data migration process, working closely with clients to ensure that this data is accurate and accessible. A Data Specialist must research data sources to verify validity of the information. Data Specialists might also be responsible for designing databases for specific client use and training clients in the use of data storage and retrieval systems, databases and software. A Data Specialist has the ability to explore unfamiliar data sets and derive meaningful insight as to the shape and quality of the data. This will aid them in assessing the level of cleansing and transformation that will be necessary to migrate the data to it s target. This person is familiar with the tools available and useful methods to wrangle data and fulfill the project needs. The Data Specialist is also aware of the security classification of data so that proper care can be taken to ensure the data stays safe for our clients. The Data Specialist can also make recommendations and design processes for data governance, back-up and recovery and master data management. OVERALL EXPERIENCE SFDC System Analyst/Developer: 5-6 years IT industry total experience, with 3-4 years specifically in Salesforce.com development (coding) and implementation, administration, and configuration. The Salesforce development (coding) experience as stated above must be in Apex and Visualforce and Lightning/LWC, and any affiliated coding technologies required for Salesforce like Java-script frameworks. Must have 1 year experience in Salesforce Data Migration including hands-on experience in Salesforce data migration, data cleansing, transformation, analysis, and reporting. Should have expertise in using ETL tools such as Workbench, Apex Dataloader and others. Candidate should have a strong administration/configuration background with expertise in data modeling and management Good to have experience in different Salesforce clouds/offerings: Service Cloud Excellent communication skills and be able to coordinate with salesforce development teams and IT/Business stakeholders across the globe. Should be able to formulate an end to end Data Migration strategy, comprehensive plan and detailed schedules with timelines. Should be able to execute such a plan and provide metrics to show the progress and result of the migration. SALESFORCE.COM CERTIFICATIONS Must Have: Admin (ADM301) Certification OR Platform Developer 1 Certification OR AppBuilder Certification Good to Have: Consultant (Sales Cloud/Service Cloud) Certifications SALESFORCE.COM DATA MIGRATION SKILLS NEEDED Must Have: Experience of at least 3 Actual Projects in Salesforce.com data migration Hands-on experience in Salesforce.com data migration Thorough knowledge of Data Migration best practices Experience in importing, updating, transferring, and mass deleting data, expertise in handling CSV files, data quality, field mapping, record IDs, external IDs, duplicate records, cleansing, delta load planning and execution). Should be aware of Expertise using Apex Data Loader and Workbench (and other ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, etc) Strong skills in SQL and SOQL. Hands on experience with relational databases; which may be one of MS Access, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, IBM, etc. Strong MS Excel skills with expertise in advanced formulae. Should be able to create custom formulae based on the requirements Strong hands-on experience with administration, configuration, customization, and development within Salesforce.com o Experience in customization and configuration of SFDC objects, fields, record types, Reports and dashboards o Candidate should have very good understanding of Salesforce Admin activities around Object Data model User management Sharing related features like OWD, Sharing settings, Role hierarchy Security related features like Profiles, Security settings, permission sets and IP restrictions Bypassing validation rules, triggers, email deliverability, data masking Experience in leading new data management and migration discovery sessions with key stakeholders to gather, analyze and document clear business requirements. Experience in leading discussions with client personnel to explore existing data repositories, understand requirements for the data-centric project and collaboratively design the data architecture Should be able to proactively identify and implement operational improvements and enhancements to meet data quality goals.
