Role: Business Analyst (AML Focus)

Experience : 7 to 9 Years
Location : Mumbai

Educational Qualifications:

• BE / B. Tech / BSC / MSC - CS/IT or related field.

Experience Range:

• 7 to 9 years of relevant experience in business analysis, specifically in the AML domain.

Must-Have Skills:

• AML (Anti-Money Laundering) : Strong understanding of AML regulations, processes, and best practices.
• Data Analysis : Expertise in analysing large datasets to identify patterns and anomalies, specifically in financial transactions.
• Data Visualization : Proficiency in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms to effectively present findings.
• Analytical Tools : Strong skills in SQL, SAS, or other data analysis tools.

Good to Have Skills:

• Business Process Improvement : Experience in analysing and optimizing business processes, especially related to compliance and AML.
• Financial Transactions Knowledge : Familiarity with banking operations and financial transaction workflows.
• Communication Skills : Strong presentation and communication abilities, with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• AML Certifications : Certification like CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Pattern Recognition :
• Analyse large volumes of transactional data to identify suspicious activity patterns that may indicate money laundering, such as unusual transaction amounts, complex transactions, and high-risk customer behaviour.
• Develop and implement data analytics models to proactively detect potential AML risks.
2. Data Visualization & Reporting :
• Use data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to present findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
3. AML Process Optimization :
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline AML processes, ensuring efficiency while maintaining compliance with regulations.
4. Collaboration :
• Work closely with business units and stakeholders to implement necessary changes and ensure smooth integration with existing systems and processes.
