Job Description
- Install, configure, and maintain AIX and Linux servers.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening.
- Manage virtualization technologies such as PowerVM and VMware.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
- Automate system tasks using scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Ansible.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project implementation.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in AIX and Linux system administration.
- Expertise in AIX (VIOS, LPARs, HMC) and RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and security practices.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet).
- Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Must be available to work in full US timezone as most customers are based in the US.
