Mandatory Skills: The Senior Infrastructure Transition Manager will lead and manage the end-to-end transition of infrastructure services for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in infrastructure management, complex transitions, and team leadership. They will be responsible for ensuring infrastructure migrations or transitions are successfully completed with minimal risk, on-time delivery, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:1. Lead Infrastructure Transition Initiatives:
Oversee and manage large-scale, complex infrastructure transitions, including cloud migrations, data center transitions, and network service changes.
Develop and implement detailed transition plans for infrastructure projects, ensuring clear timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and vendors to ensure smooth transition execution.
2. Strategic Planning and Execution:
Align infrastructure transition strategies with organizational goals and client requirements.
Plan and execute transition activities from initiation to delivery while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Ensure transitions follow best practices, methodologies, and industry standards, including ITIL or other relevant frameworks.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the main point of contact for senior management, clients, and other key stakeholders during the transition process.
Effectively communicate status updates, risks, issues, and timelines to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the project.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors.
4. Risk and Issue Management:
Proactively identify risks associated with infrastructure transitions and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
Address issues arising during the transition process swiftly to minimize disruptions to service delivery.
5. Operational Readiness:
Ensure infrastructure components are fully prepared for operational readiness, including successful deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate with operational teams to confirm that services meet performance standards before transitioning them to ongoing support.
6. Change Management:
Lead the change management process, ensuring smooth adoption of new infrastructure services across teams.
Monitor and report on change management processes, ensuring stakeholders are aware of upcoming changes and their potential impacts.
7. Post-Transition Support:
Provide oversight and support post-transition to ensure that services are running smoothly and issues are resolved promptly.
Conduct post-mortem evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvements in future transitions.
8. Team Leadership:
Mentor and guide junior transition managers and team members, providing leadership and support as needed.
Foster a collaborative environment and ensure team members have the resources and guidance to succeed.
9. Continuous Improvement:
Analyze transition processes and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future transitions.
Contribute to refining internal transition processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in upcoming projects.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
ITIL or other project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are highly preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a senior transition or project management role.
Proven experience leading complex infrastructure transitions, migrations, or service transitions within an enterprise IT environment.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, data center management, networking, and IT infrastructure.
Experience managing both technical and non-technical stakeholders with a deep understanding of cross-functional collaboration.
Skills:
Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in infrastructure service management frameworks like ITIL, Agile, or similar.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Other Requirements:
Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and infrastructure trends (e.g., cloud computing, DevOps, automation).
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and ensure minimal disruptions during transitions.
Proficient in risk management and issue resolution.
