QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a QA Engineer with expertise in testing highly distributed, complex eCommerce platforms . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of applications through a combination of manual and automated testing . You will work with REST APIs, web services, UI testing, log automation, and database validation while leveraging automation frameworks to improve efficiency.

• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for complex eCommerce applications.
• Perform API and web services testing using REST, SOAP, SOA, XML, JSON over HTTP/HTTPS protocols .
• Validate and certify web services using SoapUI, TestNG, Cucumber, or Lisa .
• Automate UI and frontend testing using Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, and TestNG .
• Automate and analyze application logs on Unix/Linux servers .
• Perform database validation testing using Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL .
• Build and maintain custom automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
• Conduct white-box testing to enhance software reliability.
• Work with JIRA, Confluence , and other defect management tools to track and resolve issues.
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment , working closely with developers and product teams.
• Perform performance testing using JMeter and JProfiler to ensure system scalability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, analyze root causes, and ensure high-quality releases.

• 4-8 years of experience in testing highly scalable eCommerce platforms .
• At least 2 years of hands-on scripting experience with Java, JavaScript, or similar languages .
• Strong understanding of web technologies , including HTTP headers, HTTP verbs (GET, POST, etc. ) .
• Proficiency in QA automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG .
• Experience in database testing and working with SQL queries for validation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices .
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
