Dot Net Lead I - Software Engineering

Job Summary: Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creatively developing and optimizing applications using the . NET framework. This role requires expertise in application design, development, testing, and performance optimization. The candidate should be proficient in . NET/Core, WCF, Web API, CSS, JavaScript, and MVC, with a solid understanding of modern frameworks and development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development & Design:

  • Interpret and develop applications, features, or components according to design specifications.
  • Code, debug, test, document, and communicate development stages of products, components, or features.
  • Ensure technical options are selected based on reuse, optimization, and the creation of innovative solutions.
  • Optimize application development, maintenance, and performance through design patterns and proven solutions.
  • Validate results with user representatives and integrate the overall solution.

• Code Quality & Testing:

  • Follow coding standards, templates, and checklists during development.
  • Review and ensure code quality for team members and peers.
  • Review and create unit test cases, scenarios, and executions for testing.
  • Provide clarifications to the testing team and review test plans.

• Configuration & Documentation:

  • Define and govern the configuration management plan, ensuring compliance from the team.
  • Create and review templates, checklists, guidelines, and design documentation.
  • Document and review deliverables, test cases, and results.

• Project & Defect Management:

  • Manage the delivery of modules or user stories within project timelines.
  • Perform defect root cause analysis (RCA) and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality.

• Customer Interaction & Domain Knowledge:

  • Interface with customers to clarify requirements and provide guidance to the development team.
  • Present design options and conduct product demos.
  • Advise developers on design and development to solve business problems for clients.
  • Learn and understand the customer domain to identify opportunities for adding value.

• Team Management & Mentorship:

  • Set FAST goals and provide feedback to team members.
  • Understand team members aspirations and provide guidance and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure team engagement and foster a positive work environment.

• Knowledge & Skills Management:

  • Contribute to and review project-related documents, share points, libraries, and client universities.
  • Participate in relevant domain/technology certifications to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Assist in knowledge sharing and development through reusable documents created by the team.

• Release Management:

  • Execute and monitor the release process to ensure smooth deployments.

• Design & Architecture:

  • Contribute to the creation of high-level designs (HLD), low-level designs (LLD), system architecture, and data models for applications, features, and business components.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in . NET development (including . NET Core, WCF, Web API).
  • Proficient in Microsoft technologies such as CSS, JavaScript, MVC, and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular, React, or Knockout. js.
  • Experience in microservices, observability, automation, and DevOps practices is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of unit testing, dependency injection, and defensive coding practices.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present technical information in a structured and logical manner.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into logical components and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Proficient in software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Knowledge of customer domains, with an ability to identify opportunities to provide valuable additions to customers.
  • Expertise in software design, functional/technical designing, and programming languages.
  • Experience with DBMS, operating systems, and software platforms.

• Certifications:

  • Relevant domain/technology certifications preferred.
