BMC Helix Technical Specialist

Experience: 6 to 8 Years

Must-Have Skills:

• BMC Helix ITSM Administration & Development
• BMC Remedy / BMC Helix ITSM (Smart IT, Dashboard, Innovation Studio)
• ITIL Foundation Certification (Mandatory)
• CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Integration
• Development & Customization of Remedy workflows (Active Links, Filters, Escalations)
• Strong knowledge of ITSM modules:
• Incident, Change, Problem, SRM, Work Order, SLM, Release Management
• Integration techniques & API handling (Web Services & REST API)
• Troubleshooting application logs (SQL, API, Filters, Active Links, etc. )
• Foundation Data Management
• Helix Dashboard & DWPC Connectors

Good-to-Have Skills:

• SQL experience
• Asset Management & Approval Flow configuration
• Complex SRD (Service Request Definition) configuration
• Experience with Web Service & REST API integrations
• Performance tuning and preventive maintenance
• Understanding of Helix Architecture

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, administer, and customize BMC Helix ITSM (Smart IT, Dashboard, Innovation Studio) to meet business requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BMC Helix components, including log analysis and issue resolution .
• Implement and support ITIL processes using BMC Helix ITSM, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Integrate CMDB with other enterprise tools and manage data flow & asset management .
• Create custom workflows and automations using Remedy forms, Active Links, Filters, and Escalations .
• Configure and manage Service Request Definitions (SRDs) , approval flows, and foundation data .
• Handle third-party software integrations and manage LDAP integration & authentication .
• Perform preventive maintenance , performance tuning , and archiving of BMC Helix systems.
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyze business needs and develop creative solutions based on system capabilities.
• Open to working in 24x7 support shifts , ensuring system uptime and reliability.

Educational Qualification:

• BE/B. Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
