Mobile Automation Test Lead - Appium

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop detailed test plans, including Jira-Zephyr test cases, based on functional and technical specifications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases manually and through automation to ensure comprehensive coverage of both functional and non-functional aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather and understand project requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and create Jira-Zephyr test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Rest Assured API, and Appium.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and feedback.
• Perform manual and automated testing of new features, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and validation of UI, API, and databases.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira; ensure that all testing phases are properly documented in Confluence.
• Collaborate with developers to review system/application logs, identify root causes, and resolve issues to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Promote QA best practices and advocate for continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB certification or similar QA certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in Java for test automation, with hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver (web application testing) and Appium (mobile application testing).
• Experience with Rest Assured API testing and Cucumber for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Familiarity with Sauce Labs, App Center, TestFlight, or similar tools for mobile testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitLab, and version control systems (e. g. , Git) as well as build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics/Firebase and mobile application analytics.
• Familiarity with Android and iOS build deployment processes, including app publishing on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Agile Scrum development practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
