Job Description

Role Proficiency:
Independently analyse and develop applications in assigned area of responsibility on ERP/CRM systems. Design solutions under the supervision of an Architect along with managing a team
Outcomes:
  1. Develop technical documents such as Functional Design Specifications Deployment documentation
  2. Perform design document reviews peer code reviews and suggest code improvements
  3. A single point of contact for the build and deployment issues and resolve them on time
  4. Learn technology business/system domain and as recommended by the project/account
  5. Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities like (but not limited to) assembling content for case studies contributing to reusability coordinating internal seminars and conduct knowledge sharing sessions organizing sessions during and participating in hackathons etc.
  6. Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.
  7. Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
  8. Optimize efficiency cost and quality.
  9. A self-learner implementing new features released in relevant technology wherever possible.
  10. Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimize application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions. Responsible for others developmental activities
  11. Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications.
  12. Code debug test and document and communicates product/component/feature development stages.
  13. Validate results with user representatives integrates and commissions the overall solution.
  14. Influence and improve customer satisfaction through things like (but not limited to) offering suggestions for code refactoring and improvements in business processes. complete sprint deliverables ahead of time helping client architects and product owners by way of design suggestions and/or explaining functionality to business stakeholders etc
  15. Influence and improve employee engagement within the project teams.
  16. Set goals in NorthStar and timely. measure progress and update accordingly.
Measures of Outcomes:
  1. Number of applicable technical/domain certifications completed
  2. Adherence to process and standards (coding standards)
  3. Number of mandatory trainings (industry/technology specific trainings UST mandatory trainings) completed
  4. Average time taken for turnaround on production bugs
  5. Adherence to schedule and timelines
  6. Contribution to RFPs and estimations in ERP/CRM Practice
  7. Number of Junior Leads who were guided and unskilled to lead a technical team.
  8. Number of technical sessions conducted within practice for the benefit of peers and team members.
Outputs Expected:
Requirement:
  1. Understand the requirements/user stories

Estimate:
  1. Create and provide inputs for effort and size estimation and plan resources for projects.
  2. Follow scrum ceremonies.

Design:
  1. Contribute to creation of design (HLD
    LLD
    SAD)/architecture for Applications/feature/Business Components

Configuration and Coding:
  1. Define coding standards
    templates and checklists. Perform code review of team members

Test:
  1. Create and review unit test cases
    scenarios and execution
  2. Review test plan created by testing team
  3. Provide clarifications to the testing team

Manage Defects:
  1. Perform defect RCA and mitigation
  2. Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality

Manage Project:
  1. Manage delivery of modules and/or manage user stories

  1. Create/review templates
    checklists
    guidelines
    standards for design/process/development
  2. Create/review deliverable documents. Design documentation
    test cases and results

Status Reporting:
  1. Report status of tasks assigned
  2. Comply with project related reporting standards and process

Manage knowledge:
  1. Contribute project related documents
    share point
    libraries
    client universities
  2. Review the reusable documents created by the team

Release:
  1. Execute and monitor release process

Interface with Customer:
  1. Clarify requirements and provide guidance to development team
  2. Present design options to customers
  3. Implementation reviews with stakeholders.
  4. Work closely with customer architects to finalize design

Domain relevance:
  1. Advise software developers on design and development of feature / component with deeper understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client.
  2. Learn more about the customer domain and identify opportunities to provide value additions to customers

Knowledge Examples:
  • Functional and technical designing on various ERP/CRM cloud platform features and automations.
    1. Thorough knowledge of coding best practices; understanding the limitations of coding
    2. Experience using data loading tools.
    3. Experience on production deployment and solving deployment errors.
    4. Knowledge of Agile Methods - Scrum and Kanban.
    5. Experience in integration with external systems using SOAP API REST API etc.

    Prefer SD candidates with basic ABAP debugging skills. Bonus - If we can get a profile who can handle both SD(expert level) and MM(Intermediate level), those profiles would be given added weightage. Main responsibilities : This hands-on role expects the candidate to apply functional and technical knowledge of SAP tools, systems and processes (SAP Sales Distribution including supply chain) for regulatory compliance Gather business requirements, lead analysis and drive high level E2E design Drive configuration and development activities to meet business requirements through a combination of internal and external teams Uses formal system implementation methodologies during project prep, requirements gathering, design, build/test and deployment. Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor s degree in Business / Engineering / Finance or related discipline with 8+ years of experience implementing SAP solutions in a techno-functional role. Strong experience in SAP Sales Distribution with large global enterprises, spanning blueprinting, implementation of one or more core SD modules including Master data, Order capture, Pricing, Supply Chain Logistics, Billing Foreign Trade. Minimum 3-5 full life cycle global implementations (Prior experience defining/implementing worldwide solutions across multiple legal entities in a highly complex systems and project environment) including hands-on design and configuration Candidates with experience implementing regulatory compliance solutions strongly preferred. Experience with implementing Tax optimized Supply Chain, regulatory compliance requirements such as eInvoicing and automated customs reporting etc., are preferred. Strong business process knowledge and ability to map business requirements to standard SAP processes with minimal or no customization. Experience with SAP implementation methodologies and modern software development methodologies. Good understanding of Integration of non-SAP Applications through ALE/IDOC and other communication mechanisms from a business analysts perspective Advanced understanding of software test methodologies, and experience with testing automation tools is a plus Ability to trouble shoot using basic ABAP debugging and understanding of SAP table structure is an asset Knowledge of other SAP modules such as Materials Management, Project Systems, Service Management and interfacing with FI/CO are of great value Sound analytical and problem solving skills, Excellent consulting skills, Demonstrated leader, Self-confident Excellent oral and written communication skills of complex and technical concepts. Demonstrates strong command of the English language High internal drive/self-initiative; Ability to work with ambiguous and incomplete information
