Job Description
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Deployment:
- Spearhead the design, deployment, and optimization of containerized applications within an OpenShift environment.
- Handle cluster management, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalable solutions.
- Configure and manage OpenShift Container Storage (OCS)/OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for stateful workloads and data services across the platform.
- Set up authentication methods (e.g., LDAP), define roles and permissions using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and create/manage user accounts.
- Configure and manage networking within the cluster, including service definitions, networking policies, and ensuring applications communicate effectively within and outside the cluster.
Integration & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure CI/CD pipelines are optimized for OpenShift deployments.
- Integrate service mesh solutions; experience with Istio is highly valued.
- Build and administer the Apache/Confluent Kafka messaging platform.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD systems using tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Helm.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Demonstrate Linux/Windows System Administration skills, including operating system installation and maintenance.
- Provide Level 3 support, diagnosing and rectifying issues within the OpenShift environment.
- Ensure proper configuration of system monitoring, logging, and ing tools.
