Lead II - SAP FICO, S4 Hana

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead II - SAP FICO, S4 HANA to lead the financial accounting and controlling (FICO) module implementation and support in SAP S/4 HANA environments.

The Lead will be responsible for managing the SAP FICO module, collaborating with business stakeholders, ensuring the system meets their requirements, and overseeing the successful deployment and maintenance of SAP FICO solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP FICO, excellent leadership skills, and experience with S4 HANA migration and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Project Management: Lead SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) module implementations, configurations, and integrations in S4 HANA. Oversee the complete lifecycle of SAP FICO projects from requirements gathering, blueprinting, and design to testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (finance, IT, operations, business analysts) to ensure successful delivery of SAP solutions that align with business needs and objectives.

Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring the adoption of best practices, efficient workflows, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Solution Design & Configuration: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FICO modules, ensuring the solution meets client business requirements and integrates smoothly with other SAP modules. Provide functional expertise in SAP FICO for core financial processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and internal controlling modules (Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Orders).

Develop and document functional specifications for customizations, ensuring that they align with the client's business processes and SAP best practices. S4 HANA

Implementation & Migration: Manage the migration of SAP FICO to SAP S/4 HANA, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems and incorporating S4 HANAs advanced functionalities.

Work closely with technical teams to ensure smooth data migration, system integration, and performance optimization in the SAP S4 HANA environment. Optimize existing SAP FICO configurations and business processes to leverage the advanced capabilities of SAP S4 HANA, such as real-time analytics and improved financial reporting.

Business Process Improvement & Support: Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, proposing effective SAP FICO solutions to streamline financial operations and increase efficiency. Provide ongoing support for SAP FICO solutions, resolving system issues, addressing end-user concerns, and ensuring business continuity.

Collaborate with business users to continuously improve system functionality, introduce enhancements, and ensure the solution remains aligned with evolving business needs.

Testing & Documentation: Lead the preparation and execution of system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing to ensure successful system deployments.

Document system configurations, processes, and solutions, ensuring clarity for future reference and audits.

Provide comprehensive knowledge transfer and training materials to business users and support teams to ensure the long-term sustainability of the solution.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.

Provide regular project updates to senior management, addressing risks, issues, and mitigation plans.

Work closely with external consultants and third-party vendors to incorporate any additional solutions or integrations required for the SAP FICO system.

Key Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in SAP FICO, with a strong focus on SAP S4 HANA implementations, configurations, and support.

Proven track record in leading SAP FICO implementation projects and migrations to SAP S4 HANA, with hands-on expertise in all core FICO modules.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAP FICO modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Internal Orders, Cost Center, Profit Center).

Experience in configuring SAP S/4HANA, specifically within the context of financial processes, integration, and reporting.

Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for financial transactions and reporting. Knowledge of integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP) and third-party systems.

Proficiency in working with migration tools and methodologies for S4 HANA implementations. Additional Skills: In-depth understanding of financial processes, reporting, and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide effective solutions to complex system issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and lead teams.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and with other project management methodologies.

Certifications (Optional but Preferred): SAP Certified Application Associate SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting. SAP Certified Technology Associate or other relevant SAP certifications would be an advantage.
