Phenom People - Backend Developer - Java (3-6 yrs)

About the Role :

We are building a state-of-the-art HRIS system from the ground up! As a Backend Developer, you will design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Java, Microservices architecture, and MongoDB. You will also work on implementing advanced security measures, including crypto encryption and Walt Security integrations.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Microservices architecture.

- Implement and manage database solutions using MongoDB.

- Ensure system security by integrating encryption mechanisms and security tools like Walt Security.

- Develop RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend.

- Optimize application performance and scalability.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver project requirements.

Required Skills :

- Strong programming skills in Java and experience with Microservices architecture.

- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and database design.

- Knowledge of security practices, including cryptography and data encryption.

- Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.

- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Knowledge of Walt Security or similar security tools.

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
