Production Merchandiser

Role & responsibilities

• Should be able to handle pre-production and production activities.
• Keep continuous follow up with the suppliers on the right submission as per planned date.
• Ability to analyse the factory capacity/capability and suggest action plans for improvement.
• Ability to review and analyse production planning.
• Ability to Identify/anticipate the risk of production in all the aspects such as quality part/delivering in time.
• Work closely with the factory production team and ability to influence suppliers to meet our goals.
• Collaborating with the cross functional teams to facilitate the process.
• Alerting risk of deliveries and escalate things to mitigate the risk to increase the required capacity to complete ontime.
• Keep track of factory measurables to maintain KPIs up to the level required.
• Ethically he should be strong.
• Handle and communicate customers requirements clearly and accurately to vendors and ensure vendors understanding.
• Follow up on orders with vendors. Pre-production and production activities running as per Critical path.
• Timely approval from customer
• Data management /internal system updation
• Can manage the team.
• Work on other merchandising related activities.
• Manage client/vendor relationship inclusive of disputes and claim issues.
• Anticipate issues /delays and provide timely solution to customer
• Should have good knowledge of different quality fabrics

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate with degree / diploma in apparel, preferably a NIFTian
• 10-15 years of experience, minimum 5-7 years of experience as a manager in garment production management, preferably within a buying house or apparel manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English also good at MS office
• Independently, responsible, detail-oriented, flexible, and good team player.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skill to interact with all levels, both external and internal.
• Good knowledge about the full cycle of order to execute.
• Costing analysis and product negotiation.
• Review callouts and suggest corrective action plan Job Requirement.
