Urgent Opening For Geologists (Iron, Copper, Gold) For Lagos

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct mapping and surface geochemical sampling programs, including regolith and outcrop mapping, and rock chip, soil and stream sediment sampling. Must have knowledge on handling GPS or other geological survey instruments at field.
• Working in departmental drilling & other contractors to ensure the efficient a safe development of the Companys exploration program.
• Assist contractors/consultants during geophysical field survey programs.
• Prepare sample submission to assay laboratories with proper QAQC samples; track and receive assay results.
• Ability to prepare geological plans, sections and grade anomaly maps in different software and analysis.
• Data entry of geological logs and spatial data with regard to quality control; and validation and quality control of all exploration data to ensure a robust exploration database.
• Extraction, manipulation and plotting of data on plans and sections using exploration and mining software to visualize and present exploration results.
• Contribute to daily & weekly deliverables and interpretation of geological, assay and geophysical data.
• Perform logging of core and reverse circulation drill cuttings Perform geologic mapping at different projects.
• Assist Senior with the interpretation of all geological data (e.g. rock type, alteration, and structure), assay, and mineralogical data into internally consistent cross sections and level plans.
• Work with a team of Geologists in the completion of computerized resource block models that meet corporate modeling standards.
• Prepare and update drill hole database, maps of deposits and other exploration records, perform rock chip sampling or soil surveys.
• Knowledge on Resource & Reserve estimation as per international standards.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Experience of working in Greenfield Iron / Copper or Gold Mining Projects

2. Able to communicate in English

3. Has good experience of working with people from different states / nationalities
