Infrastructure Engineer - Compute & Storage

Role & responsibilities

Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment. • Proactive maintenance and responding to user incidents. Infra-structure capacity planning and resolution. • Backup/Restore/DR procedures. Server build processes, both Physical and Virtual. • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies. • Research, evaluation and recommending technologies to sup-port business requirements. • Rigorously creating and maintaining documentation for all pro-cesses and procedures. • Experience with VMware ESXi & VMware VCenter server & Storage administration. • To install, configure, and maintain VMware virtualization products in a networked environment. • Managing & Monitoring backup systems, including troubleshooting failed jobs and running make-up jobs as necessary on daily basis • Collaboration with and support the work of other staff engaged in similar functions. • Attending and actively participating in weekly meetings. Coordination with the rest of the MIS team to meet the team objectives. • Responsible for running/upcoming projects, core Infra and Communication system at the location. • Proactive maintenance and responding to user incidents. IT best practices rollout such as Change, RCA etc. Ensuring end users requests are met within defined SLA. • Ensuring 99.99% uptime DC and other IT Infra devices. • Vendor management to ensure all ICT services are meeting de-fined SLA. • Attending and actively participating in daily/weekly meetings. Preparation of MIS. • Daily / Weekly Monthly performance tracker of team as per KRA / KPIs • Providing emergency 24 x 7 on-call support as and when need-ed.

. Qualification • BE/B Tech/MCA from reputed institutes • VMware, Azure, AWS certification preferred. • ITIL preferred.

Preferred candidate profile

7-10 years of relevant experience in managing Core Infra, Servers, Storage & DC. • In-depth knowledge of data centre environments, servers, and network equipment. • Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data canter equipment. • Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors. • Ability to keep up with advancements in data centre infrastructure and technologies. • Good communication skills both written and verbal • Ability to priorities tasks & problem-solving skill • Ability to work under pressure. • Strong documentation skills • Analytical & presentation skill • An ability to learn new technologies quickly.
