Job Description

Position: Chief Financial Controller


Applicants Criteria:

Education: CA / CMA / Inter CA / MBA Finance

Yrs of Experience: 15-20 Yrs

Location: Ahmedabad

Industry: Health Care / Hospitals / Clinics only

International Exposure: Will be additional advantage.


Profile Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.


Role & Responsibilities in Brief:

  • Managing all finance and accounting operations
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Additional controller duties as necessary.

Role & Responsibilities in Detail:

  • Timely and accurate monthly reporting as well as an analysis and interpretation
  • Ensuring the cost accounting practices in the RB Finance manual are applied within the business;
  • Monthly Financial closing process and management reporting;
  • Proactively highlight future performance concerns and opportunities
  • Develop financial understanding in order to support their decision making and the potential impacts of such decisions;
  • Collaborates with other departments by collecting and providing financial information;
  • Ad-Hoc projects and analysis.
  • Monthly Financial closing process;
  • Monthly review of Actuals vs. Plan, Latest estimation and highlight risks and opportunities;
  • Business partnering in reviewing deviations;
  • Run up robust CFC planning and management process;
  • Assist budget owners in the planning and forecasting process;
  • Cooperation with all departments in order to control and optimize costs;
  • Maintain accurate reporting of fixed costs according to company policy;
  • Ability to interact face to face with senior management with confidence and credibility to achieve financial commitments;
  • Ability to provide financial support and handle multiple tasks within an open and interactive environment.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

  • Entrepreneurial attitude in managing activities and projects

Note: Should be comfortable to travel as per business requirements.
