Backend Developer - Node.js/Express.js (2-5 yrs)

Job Overview :

We are seeking a hands on Backend Developer to join our team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend systems, including designing and implementing APIs, integrating with third-party services, and working with our frontend team to ensure a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities :

- Design and implement APIs for our backend systems

- Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js and Azure Functions

- Integrate with third-party services and APIs

- Ensure the scalability, availability, and security of our backend systems

- Optimize application performance and implement best practices for code quality and testing

- Work closely with our frontend team to ensure a seamless user experience

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with our backend systems as needed

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

- 2-5 years of experience in backend development

- Proficiency and hands on experience in Node.js, Express.js and Azure Functions

- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases

- Knowledge of Prisma or related ORM is plus

- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services

- Understanding and experience in Microservices is a plus

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Experience with Agile methodologies and Git version control is a plus

- Knowledge of writing unit test cases is preferred
